Federal government brings $10bn social housing fund back to the table

The government reintroduced its $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund bill, seeking Senate support to build 30,000 social and affordable homes, as the Greens pushed for more annual spending and the Coalition opposed further borrowing. UDIA president Max Shifman urged parliament to pass the fund and boost rental supply.
