Industry groups welcomed the government's final pre-election budget, which expanded the Home Guarantee Scheme to 50,000 places, funded $17.9 billion of infrastructure, extended apprentice wage subsidies and halved fuel excise for six months. UDIA national president Max Shiffman said it backed housing and construction to drive recovery.
