A third of all buyers: Indian migrants head out to the outer suburbs for home of their own

Red23 figures show Indian-born buyers accounted for 33 per cent of greater Melbourne land sales, underpinning the growth-area boom, with western suburbs Truganina and Rockbank the favoured targets. Intrapac's Max Shifman says Indian buyers cluster near friends and community and need little marketing.

As I told the Australian Financial Review: “They like to live close to their community and friends. They often buy a few blocks close together, it's quite charming”

I also said: “You don't really have to market to the Indian community, they already know the benefits.”
