Australia faces huge housing shortfall as new home sales slump

UDIA's State of the Land shows 2022 greenfield lot sales almost halved, apartment sales at a 12-year low and lot prices up 20 per cent, with completions forecast 50,000 below the 200,000 needed annually. UDIA president Maxwell Shifman calls the report a 'canary in the coalmine'.
