The weekend of 5 and 6 November saw over 140 elite athletes from all around Australia attempt Schwartz’s CrossFit Challenge 2011. Five intense workouts over two days (seven for the top 16) brought many to their knees, including some of the country’s best known CrossFitters.

I didn’t make the final, coming a (somewhat) respectable 51st of 91 male contestants on my first try. I was more than happy taking some fun shots of the proceedings instead of making the final (with my wonderful wife taking a few along the way too). I did manage some PBs on consecutive hand stand push ups, squat cleans and bar muscle ups on the day.

I’ve uploaded some of the best photos from the weekend to my Flickr account for your all to enjoy. You can click any any of the images after the break to see them larger and start a slideshow.

Congratulations to all the athletes who competed, particularly to all the finalists. A full run down of the weekend’s proceedings may be found at The Brave Project.
